This success is an extension of cross -border cooperation between the UAE and Saudi Arabia in organ transplantation, where King Faisal Specialist Hospital and the Research Center had previously carried out similar operations, which contributed to saving patients of all ages.
The child was suffering from an advanced heart failure as a result of a complex birth defect, with which various therapeutic interventions were exhausted, and included medicines, respiratory support and the cultivation of the cardiac system, without a response, which necessitated its inclusion on the urgent agriculture list.
