Good news for patients with pressure .. A new drug that achieves amazing results

The New England Journal of Medicine has published a recent study that confirms that the medicine of Baxdrostat, which is an inhibitor of the synthesis of aldosterone, has proven effective and safely in reducing systolic blood pressure in patients with unspecified or treatment -resistant blood pressure.

Background
Highly resistant blood pressure is a medical challenge, as it fails to respond to traditional treatments despite the use of a mixture of medications, including diuretics. Aldosterone disorder plays a key role in these cases, according to the Nejm website.

Details of the study
The clinical experiment included 796 patients from several countries.
Participants were randomly divided to receive a dose of 1 mg or 2 mg of puscarstate, or an imaginary drug, daily for 12 weeks.
The results showed a noticeable decrease in systolic blood pressure:
-14.5 mm hole with a dose of 1 mg.
-15.7 mm hole with a dose of 2 mg.
– 5.8 mm hole only with the imaginary medicine.

Security and complications
A rise in potassium levels is observed in a limited percentage of patients:
2.3% with a dose of 1 mg.
3% with a dose of 2 mg.
Only 0.4% with the imaginary medicine.
